20+ years in the RCN, "Grumpy Popeye" seemed appropriate  ;)

Mine was taken from the movie and series Alien Nation.
It is a modified spelling of Tenctonese.

I always thought it was funny in old TV shows and movies from the 1980s or so when they made some cheap looking robotic device seem more advanced just by giving it a name in the following format: <insert word / name> + "tron" + number in the hundreds or thousands.  The underscore in my handle comes from old computer file name syntax where blank spaces between characters weren't allowed.

I chose the word "Gadget" because I've always loved electronics and tinkering with them.  So I went with that and used the naming formula and...*PRESTO*..."Gadgetron_3000"!

Sounds so advanced!!  ;)

Rather boring really how mine came about.

I am in the worldwide 501st costuming group and my ID is TK6598 (just a random series of numbers I chose) and as my name is Iain so we now have TK Iain.

Superman was my high school nickname. With Clark being my last name I am also called Clark Kent. Easy to choose.

...Okay...didn't really want to go here but mine is based on a college nickname derived from my last name.  Funny thing is, I have a fair amount significant acquaintances that probably only know me as "simi".

Cheers!

I'm a long-time fan of the anime "Black Lagoon," so I naturally had to pay some sort of tribute to everyone's favorite foul-tempoered, Bacardi-swilling, junk food eating, chain-smoking ambidextrous gun gal who also has the uncanny ability to dodge bullets, and yet land damn near every single shot she makes from her pair of stainless steel Berettas  92F's.

There is only one Revy Two-Hands.  ;D

I loved watching Star Trek when it was broadcast as reruns in the seventies.I liked the librarian's odd name in the episode "All our Yesterdays",so Mr. Atoz was born again!  :)

I keep things that no longer have use or don't function anymore, past the point I should logically dispose of them. Old financial documents too. Periodically I shred stuff and pitch stuff in the trash bin, but always with a sense of guilt at contributing to the ever expanding landfill our planet is becoming. After all, what do you do with seven seasons of ST-TNG on VHS today?
