Tips For Adding Pictures To Your Post's
« on: July 01, 2012, 01:06:02 am »
If your having trouble adding pictures to your post's, check that your picture size is 800x600 or smaller.
The JPEG format works best for keeping the file small. A max limit of 200 KB per picture or 800KB per post is the limit.
If It's a model kit, I like it already.

A great super easy tool to use to resize almost any format or size image is IrfanView. I've been using it for years and it just keeps getting better and better, but is still small and fast.

Another thing you can do for photos is just hotlink to photobucket or flickr.  I've been doing that all along, and it works great.  It also doesn't use any of Boyd's bandwidth for the site doing that.

Doesn't youtube have their own embedding code?

Hi there, I'm using photobucket now in order to both reduce this site's bandwidth and also to not having to re-upload the pics I have on my albums there. One question I have is if there's any way I can make the pics look a little smaller than they do now? You can check out my 1/350 thread just below to see what I mean...

what i usually do starsend is i just change the pixels using my paint or photo tools too about 400 or so.   then i upload them after that.  usually if they are too big that is the issue, too large of pixels.  try that and see how that works.

Quick stupid question: How are folks adding images with the pop-up view these days? Don't see anything in the BBC code for it, and photobucket ain't got that feature.

On my iphone I keep my finger pressed against the image; A dialog window then opens with options

Keen to learn that one myself.
