Picture size
« on: August 08, 2013, 09:31:57 pm »
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew how I would go about shrinking the size of photos so I can post them here, I use an iPhone 4 to take the pictures but they are between 1 and 2 mb in size. Any info would be greatly appreciated as I am anxious to show some of my projects. Thank you much, Eric

I use an app called photoforge2 on my iphone. Import the pic from your camera roll and resize to the 0.3MP (640x480) and they should post just fine. The quality is still pretty good too.

This will help if you are wanting to post pics directly from your iphone.

There are several ways to post here.

One is to resize the photo yourself and upload it directly to the site in your post.

Another is to upload it to photobucket or flickr (I prefer flickr, as they give 1TB of space for free!).

What I personally do is upload to flickr, select either 800x600 or 1024x768 for the photo size, right click on the pic and view the photo alone to get the direct link to the pic, and post it here within the image tags [ img ] and [ /img ] (no spaces).

I'm sure there are more, but these two work pretty well...

Good luck!

Yeah I use the other one Matt mentioned, photo bucket.  It gives you only like 2GB.  It has edit features on there for resizing if you need to resize.  I personally like uploading it to one of those sites and then linking an /IMG file here.
