Refit era Akira class
« on: September 08, 2013, 11:28:06 pm »
Ok planning has begun! I'm still working on my 1/537 refit, but sometimes you need a break! So during those breaks I will begin planning my refit era Akira. I found some plans online but was decidedly underwhelmed. So I drew up a rough sketch of my own. There are some bugs to work out, but for the most part, I think that  this will be the design I go with.
"Accomplishments, awards, accolades, and achievements... but when it's all said and done, what will stand?  For I tell you that my while my physical life will end and memory of me may fade, what I live for will stand for all eternity. And that is what makes my life worth living."

Ok...you definitely got my attention.  ;D

Are you starting off with a 1/2500 or have you decided to go bigger?

Here I am thinking I was a better then average Star Trek fan (border line nut) but I guess I'm not. I've never heard of this ship before. I'm glued...

I think the 1/2500 is good. I need to score that set with the reliant and the refit.

Fair warning the 2500 kits are pretty small. Might want to wait till the 1000 Reliant releases in a few months. That'll give it a bit of meat, where as the 2500 kit is I think about 3 inches long for the refit, and 2.5 for the reliant.

To kmow abouthanks jimmy, good to know about the reliant release. Where do you find out about future releases? And the 1/2500 was mainly just for a concept, but I guess I could just scratch build one...
