Into Darkness Enterprise
« on: September 26, 2013, 08:28:30 pm »
Hi guys, heres some pics of my Enterprise from Into Darkness currently under construction. I decided to just do a static painted non-lighted build up. For the paint job I washed the kit down, primed it, then used flat white, and final finish of gloss pearlcote. Ill go back over with a clear glosscote once ive finished decaling and touch-ups. One detail I added myself is fan-like blades on the engine fronts, not sure if this is typical, but I love the look. I really cant get over how well engineered this kit is and how well the parts fit. I followed the Trekworks build series and loved the Aztek panel paint job. I went a bit more basic myself, but im glad to have picked up the tip about washing the parts down, its something that had never occurred to me before, but it makes sense now that I think of it. I will post more pics as I get closer to finish, I expect to only have the warp engines left to do after this weekend. Thanks for looking.

Hi Eric,

Looking good. I also have this model. I would like to know about what paints you used.

I will probably have a go with the Orbital Drydock masks.....so what colours does every one recommend..?

I hope to light mine up...!

cheers Arthur
