I just scored this for $20 plus shipping.  Anyone build one of these yet?

Grabbed this at Hobby Lobby yesterday on clearance. I already have a prior release of this kit, but I couldn't pass it up for the price.

Wow, that would be just under a fiver here, how does anyone make a profit at that price.

Not the world's greatest kit but like you say how could you pass!

And whenever I get around to building one, I've got cheap spare parts if I screw something up royal. :o Kind of regretting not buying the other one they had left.

Hit the LHS today. Moebius took all my money. 3 kits came home: Death Dealer, The Creature From the Black Lagoon , and Bela On Broadway. Happy Halloween.
If it don't fit, you must not quit.

Okay, All,

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but is kinda does fall into the catagory of new Acquisition so...

My Brother once again gave me a remnant of a model, either he or his son started and didn't finish, to try and work on.

What you see it what I got. Now, here is the question bit:

What should I do with it?! I have the 1/537 scale TMP Enterprise kit, but the other parts are not "Smoothie" and will need work to match. Will the saucer fit the newer model?

OR

Try to cobble together a Reliant? Or crash Diaroma?

It would be a shame to waste a smoothie saucer.  I'd say try to use it for a refit build.

It will fit on the flying brick. The hardest part to smooth out on those is the saucer
so you have it half way beaten already. the secondary hull sands out rather easily.
I'd build a smoothy refit.

Had a couple of deliveries from Japan yesterday.  First one very much on topic for this forum with a couple of Yamato 2199 1:1000 kits

The second firmly sits in the 'other genre' tread!!  As one of my top 3 favourite F1 cars this new release was very welcome.

The Pomelia Class Assault Craft will be first and will feature lights so if there is anyone out there that has any references to how the weapon and circle of lights work on the underside they will be gratefully received, Madhatter I'm talking to you!!!

All good stuff you kids are hauling in...  My Viper isn't so hugable but that's OK.

May not be huggable, Wolf, but it's cool! It's slipped off my radar for some reason. Have to correct that someday soon.
