Thanks fellas.

For those that were asking, the motors I used were left overs from the Round 2 350 TOS Enterprise lighting kit.
I cut oversized slots in the floor to mount them and locked them in place with hot glue once I had the angle correct.
The screens are glued onto the tip of the motor shafts with canopy glue (it was a pain to get them centered)

I'm running them at 6 volt's with a 230 and 300 ohm resistor on them so they spin at low speed.
If It's a model kit, I like it already.

As everyone else has said, the active radar screen takes this to a new level.  It is always nice to see your clever creations Boyd, and I hope that you won't mind if I steal it in future builds!  This add on would make a vulcan raise two eyebrows!   ;D
That model really tied the room together.

Update on the Jupiter 2 build.

I opened up the window port at the walk in hatch on the saucer side first and then sanded, primed and painted the saucer top.
Sanding and priming the bottom tonight along with getting the main floor primed and painted.

I'll be using the Paragrfix masking kit for making that big circle on the floor.

Some pics of the work on the saucer

Beautiful finish you've got on that upper saucer Boyd!  Good idea to open up that hatch window.  The more ways to view the inside the better!  I'll be going to the hobby shop in the next week or two and if he still has the J2 there, I may pull the trigger. ;)  Looks like it would be a really fun build!
Ooooooo!  I think I may buy that kit!

Thanks Jeff.

Go for it man, the kit is just like the Flying Sub and there are tons of goodies for it to bring it up if you feel like it.

She's going to be a beauty Sir Boyd, I'm extremely interested in this build as I have the 12inch model so I hoping to pick up some tip from you ( the colour is fab )
I've just started making models after what seems like 400years but its really only 35ish years :-)

More accomplished after tonight's session.

I painted the flight console and started working on the photo etched parts for it.
Also painted the floor and added the Paragrafix mask on it. I used some soap and water on it to get it set in the
right spot and then squeegeed out the air bubbles.

Some pics
