The Dr. is in!  Great start, the cockpit is dialed in; and you have to love Chewie!  Dr. Alclad, with a Phd in fine molds!   ;D
That model really tied the room together.

1000 Bonus points to you on this build already. The staggering amount of work (and the craziest PE set I've ever seen!) are already paying off. Great stuff.

Appreciate the kind words, gentlemen ,but I still have a long way to go :)...hope to finish the figures tonight and then glue the whole cockpit assembly together after I primer with white on the inside. Then its on to the lighting of the cockpit.

Well, well ...

I go away for a little while and THIS happens! *Sigh*
Awesome stuff so far!

How do you plan on lighting the engines? Those parts are opaque right?

More progress...the crew ready to be loaded into the cockpit.

And here they are in their seated positions (yes, Han's shirt color is different...Mr. Whitford pointed out his shirt wasnt so yellow, so I recolored with a beige to more closely approximate the movie)

Here's the cockpit assembled and backlit. I used a 3 cool white LED strip glued to the bottom of the tunnel and facing up, as well as a piece of thin packing paper to diffuse the light.

Here is the top of the tunnel. Five of those greeblies were glued on by me. Can you pick them out?

And finally, the radar dish assembled.
