Looking forward to this. Due to the price of this model, that has scared me away from getting it. BUT you may just sway me to it as I watch you build this.

Thanks Dave!  Thanks Steve!  Appreciate the kind words Guys  :)

Yes Phil, a tad pricey but given the size and what's in the box, worth it I think. My kit was marked down from 85 to 60 dollars Canadian.  Pretty good price really.  Thanks for stopping in Phil!

I've been feeling a little blue the last two nights.  ;)

Masked, primed, first coated and wet sanded...

After final coat and masking pulled...

I'll let the floor sit and harden up till the weekend.  Probably work a few evenings this week, at finishing up the prep work on the frame deal and getting it painted.  I'm really enjoying all the great builds we have going on here!!

Thanks for checking it Guys!  :)

After your sound thrashing of me in the SW build several TWOK quotes come to mind...
such as:
Ah, Fumbles my old friend. Have you ever heard of the klingon proverb that says: "revenge is a dish that is best served cold"? It is very cold... in space.."

Or how about:
"We tried it once your way fumbles; are you game for a rematch?"

Or maybe;
"I have made my intentions clear: I mean to avenge myself upon you!"

lol all in good fun! good luck sir! great start so far!
"Accomplishments, awards, accolades, and achievements... but when it's all said and done, what will stand?  For I tell you that my while my physical life will end and memory of me may fade, what I live for will stand for all eternity. And that is what makes my life worth living."

Great looking work!  Your pictures of this build up are really opening my eyes to the detail on this kit.  Things are looking very clean so far as well.  I look forward to more!   8)
That model really tied the room together.

Jeff I'm placing everyone's builds into categories based on the building plans and kit's. Are you doing lighting and other mods to this kit or just painting and cleaning up the parts?
If It's a model kit, I like it already.

Fumbles,

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Way to go, Man!  What an excellent choice!!!  I can't wait to see more!  I have always loved this model and Boyd is right the Paragrafix photoetch is a must!!!  I have looked for a longtime and never was able to get this kit until recently when a good friend of mine here on the forum found one for me.  I really love the subject and know your gonna knock it out of the park!!!  I really can't wait to see more.  May the wind be at your back Fumbles!!!

Excellent work so far Jeff. I know you'll do an outstanding job on it. Your thread will be a treasure trove of info for those building this one in the future. KUTGW :)
