Spring Build entry 1/29th Scale X-Wing (Modified)
« on: February 28, 2014, 03:24:29 pm »
My entry for the spring build. Revell 1/29th scale X-Wing Ezy Kit. I'm going to strip off the pre-painted areas, try and improve the detail on the kit and light. Might also do a diorama dependent upon time.

Awesome choice!  I will love to see the improvements that you put on it.  I wish you fun and success with the build and the contest!   8)
That model really tied the room together.

I don't understand this requirement about date?! The exif data within the image indicates when it was taken. Any professional photographer (my job) knows this. I've taken the picture of the unopened bags of parts in front of the box. I've never seen this requirement on any other forum group build that I've been involved with.

it is a requirement to post a date timestamp to enter the Contest "All builds must not have been started before March 1st 2014. This will require a photo submitted with a cell phone date or other such device to verify along with the unopened contents of the kit in the picture."

Thanks Chris, might be a few days before I really get 'stuck in' as I'm trying to finish my WW1 SPAD XIII build for another group build.

Cool little kit. I have one of these and I was surprised at the detail!

I'll have to do a trial on the paint removal, they've done a reasonable job on the 'weathering' but it's all a bit manufactured. I'll try and post some pics of the detail before I begin.

Looking forward to seeing your build Liam! And seeing how this kit stacks up against the Finemolds kit.  :)
"Mr Scott, do you always multiply your repair times by a factor of four?"
"Of course Sir. How else do I keep my reputation as a miracle worker?"

There should always be an X-Wing in any
respectable group build!  ;)
Nice one Liam!!  Good luck with your build up!  :)
Ooooooo!  I think I may buy that kit!

Jeff.
