I've used Fairy Power in the past, works really well on enamel Bill. But I'll try a test piece first in case of any reactions.

There should always be an X-Wing in any
respectable group build!  ;)

Agreed! good luck sir!

Looking forward to seeing this one come together Liam. Looks like a sweet kit.
If It's a model kit, I like it already.

Hey bud.....    the 1/29 scale jumped out at me....  and then someone writing this thing was 30 inches long.....    never heard of an X-Wing that big....

Box top says it's about 17 inches though....    which is still cool.....   best of luck in the competition!

435mm = 17 inches.

Still pretty cool. Bigger than the one I have.

In case you all think I forgot about the Spring build! Still finishing my SPAD XIII for a WW1 group build elsewhere but managed to make a small ;) start on the X-Wing tonight

R2 is light blocked and optical fibres fitted.

Won't get fully into the build until the weekend I think.

Nice lighting work on R2 Liam. That should look pretty neat.

Thanks everyone, I've been out of action for nearly a week with flu. I think it must be similar to what laid Boyd low! Might get back to work Wednesday evening :) .

Finally got some time back in the saddle today, still feeling ropey but got a start made. I'm replacing the guns with aluminium and brass tubes retaining only the curved plastic piece. I'm hoping to use optical fibre for these too. Lots and lots to do.

Still going boldly!
