Too bad about the mishap!  Otherwise, things look amazing.  "Clean" would be my word of choice as well.
Beautiful work James!  :)
Ooooooo!  I think I may buy that kit!

Thanks for the comments. The repair process is slow. Much damage to fix. The arboretum looks like a tornado swept through it. Had to remove it from the hull and redo most of it. But that is done and back in the hull now it's just a matter of putty and sand work to fix the break and then re scribe the lines. I did manage to apply the Aztec markings to the top of the saucer and nacelles.

Great work on the saucer, I am sure your skill can sort the hull out!

Your kit is really coming along nicely sorry to see that you had to re-fix your kit from it rolling off your bench. Since I am new to modeling, I do have a question that you or anyone else can answer where did you get all the little trees and other small part you did with the officer's lounge and arboretum because that is absolutely a beautiful job you did on both?

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. Repairs were made and final light blocking adjustments on the secondary hull are finished. Decided to use decal Aztecs due to time constraints, however, they are "encased" in future so in a couple days I will mask and paint random Aztecs with the pearl colors. I have a spare kit and had intended to replace the secondary hull altogether but after a few days of putty and sanding and priming, I achieved acceptable results. I might possibly finish this in time but commission builds and spring projects on the house are making a negative impact on that.

I just might be able to get her finished in time. It will be close. I got the nacelles attached to secondary hull and some decals applied to the saucer. I am pleased that all the lights are working properly thus far.

jguard,

That's a lot of really good detailed repair work in such a short time. Looks like you might make it in August.  Good luck at IPMS!

(And how you got it from almost finished TOS to almost finished Refit since May 1st is nothing short of miraculous!)  ;)

I appreciate all the compliments and words of encouragement during this my first 1701-A/ Refit build. Unfortunately, she will not be finished in time. RL and commission builds just kept me from focusing 100% on this project. During this build, I finished two 1/350 TOS ships and started a third plus another Refit for a client. Had I been able to concentrate on this build alone she would have been finished some time ago. Good luck to those who finished.  Please move this thread to the WIP and I will post future updates.

Where she stands at the end of the contest....
