Great start and while it made me anxious seeing a 1/350 saucer get sliced and diced I know it's going to a good cause.

Ok, got the basic forms of the vent thingies done. sheet styrene, with a chunk of sprue inside each to give it sturdiness. C.A. glue, sanded, filled some seams, sanded some more. more detail to come!

I obviously don't make the rules but to me it seems this would qualify for both.... I mean yeah he's modifying a 1/350 Refit but he's scratch building and entirely different ship... I would venture to say that there will be more scratch built parts than existing parts....

Again I don't make the rules but thats my view.

..one last point..its not like the scratch build category in chuck full.

  • Please Captain, not in front of the Klingons
What ever type build is decided on it looks like you have a nice jump on it. I wish the kit manufactors would make more 1/350 kits. Can you imagine a 1/350 1701E  ::)

you are in scratchbuild since you are doing a true scratchbuild
Cool thanks Chris. I thought so, but wasn't sure since I was using the refit kit. But then again, every part I'm using is getting hacked up pretty good!

Awesome!   :o  You are doing great work here man.  This ship is already taking shape far earlier than I thought it would.  Keep up the great work sir!   :)
That model really tied the room together.
