Modelers Question Board = AWESOME!
« on: April 07, 2014, 02:29:02 pm »
This topic thread is a great addition to the forum Trekworks!

For the new folks, and those looking for guidance, this will be much easier to communicate our basics, and heck, advanced stuff. Although I am sure questions in specific build threads will continue i.e. "How did you do those windows" or "What product did you use for that effect?" HOWEVER, yeah we were posting ALL OVER THE PLACE!

I apologize for the random General postings!

This should be a great spot, and I suspect it's going to quickly become one of the larger threads!

Damn good idea methinks!

Would certainly help a rookie like me out to no end as I am still trying to wrap my wee brain cell around wiring despite diagrams!

All such info in one place would be such a great help to all! :)

I agree, it seemed like those types of questions all ended up in the 'Tips and Tools' section or 'General Discussions' threads.

I have run as an admin and root on a number of BBC/PHP forums/boards over the years, including large scale LMS systems like Moodle, CATE, and Confluence, and thought there may have been a client feature to move threads. Could be an admin rights thing.

Ahha! Yep, there's a move tool, admin or root rights though. http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Moving_topics

Might be interesting to move some of the threads out of General and Tips and Tools to jumpstart this category.  ;)
