Xealoth's Recent Models
« on: November 26, 2012, 09:43:06 pm »
Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the site and have decided to share a few pictures of some recent models that I have created. I apologize for the poor quality of the photos, all I have is an iPhone 4 for a camera.
I hope you enjoy and if you have any questions, let me know :)

The first model is a Klingon Bird of Prey that I created about 11 years ago as a High School arts project in which I was to make a miniture and film it in flight. I used a matte painting and moved the model across as well as towards the screen. Until recently, this was the last model I created and the very first time I have ever tried an airbrush. Unfortunately the model has not aged well and has lost some pieces and the stand, however it's because I found this at the bottom of a box in my parents house that I now have the modelling itch again!

This next model is the Polar Lights Back to The Future Delorean I started around May of this year. It's obviously been awhile since I have done a kit so I just rushed through this one and used the box art for reference photos.... Not the best idea.

Also: I made my own Hoverboard!

Last but not least, I recently finished this AMT 3 ship pack back in July. I spent just over a month with this one and wanted to make it the best I possibly could. Mostly everything was airbrushed and the colors were my interpretation of what I saw on screen. There's not much detail that is included with the kit, so what wasn't part of the decals that came with it, I painted on. I had a blast doing this kit and even though there are some errors with it, I am really proud of it and can't wait to do bigger versions of these ships, especially the 1/350 Enterprise!

All 3

Romulan BOP

Klingon D7

I'm currently working on a new project and I don't really want to discuss it yet as I keep putting it on hold, but I do have enough of it finished to see the light and to keep pushing forward. I have designed all the lighting for it myself and have done a lot of experimentation with it. I can't wait to share more when I am ready!

Thank you for checking out my models and I hope you enjoyed my pics! If you have any comments please leave them below!

Dr. Emmett Brown: The way I see it Marty, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style!?

Ahh yes the original AMT 3 ship set. That was always fun to build. Nice job on the ships. They look great and thanks for sharing.
If It's a model kit, I like it already.

Thank you all for the kind words, I really appreciate it! I've been making some great progress with my current project and hope to have enough of it complete by the weekend to be comfortable to share my WIP with all of you.
