paint coming along nicely, but wholly crap that's a lot of wires!  Wow!  What is going to be wired to the connector?  Do tell, do tell!

I am currently applying the decals on the top and will post pictures later.   I has some pretty severe silvering problems with the bottom but the top is looking better so far.

Thanks for looking.

Watching you put this together makes me want to build another one.

I had the same "silvering" problem when I built my own and it was on the underside as well. ???

Thank you TK.

I have heard that this model doesn't fit together very well and they are right.  It's still a ton of fun though for sure.

Shawn, this is stunning work! I am very jealous of how yours has turned out. Makes me want to build it all over again :)

Thank you incubus.   I'm going to start a second one at some point.  I'm giving this one to my brother.   Thank you for the compliment.  That really means a lot.

It still looks amazing in the pictures, Shawn!

There is a technique for reducing the amount of silvering on decals, though. If you want to try it.

Take a very sharp needle and make tiny holes in the decal, after it is seated; not deep enough to damage the hull, just to make holes in the decal. Then paint the entire decal liberally with Microsol and leave to set.

It will crinkle up and you will think it's ruined, but, once it dries, the decal will settle nicely on to the model.

As I said, it won't get rid of all of the silvering, but it will reduce a majority of it.

Didn't know if you knew about this so here it is.

Let me know if you have any questions.
