1/1 SCALE MP40
« on: August 02, 2016, 03:48:42 am »
I got a 1/1 scale BB MP40 cheap, mainly due to the fact I like the history and also thought it would look good hung in my shed with my German RC 1/16 tanks.

Now, this is more a toy and it was an exercise to see if I could make it look better and also try and recreate the Bakelite grips and body colour.

The model is 90% accurate and I didn't do anything to it cosmetically to change it. It is all just paint.

I think it looks realistic enough!

Where, may I ask, did you get this? Wouldn't mind having one myself!!

Thank Phil, this wasn't too bad to do, the hardest part was getting that Bakelite look, I am 90% happy with it.

We're our own worst critic! I love your weathered, beat up or normal wear on your builds. Always a pleasure on your creations! 8)

Very, very nice of you to say so Phil, I was going to go back to this but something at the back of my mind stopped me...maybe just too much faffing would ruin it.
