I saw that you drilled out all of the phaser banks and left them empty until the end. What did you use to make the phasers?

I used some small metal crafting beads that I found at Hobby Lobby.

Awesome work - she truned in to a real beauty.
One of the cleanest Aztecs I have ever seen!
Love your strongback Aztec - its spot on!

Oh and welcome to the club of those who actually finished their Refit
with all the bells and whistles without going insane.  :P :)

Crow...

Seriously man, awesome work.  I mean, that paint job is so killer.

I can only hope mine turns out a fraction of the way yours did. 😁

Congrats on a marvelous job!

Her: "But... you hear voices don't you?"
Him: "Not Chinese!"

This may be my favorite Refit that I've seen yet. Put that thing under a glass display case; do not let any dust touch it. That has to be the most flawless Refit I've ever seen. Made my heart skip a beat it's so damn beautiful! You sir have pulled right up there next to DannyK and his build. Maybe even beat it in some areas. Congratulations!

Thank you, but no, no, no! DannyK expended more effort on accurizing the kit than I did- especially on the warp engines. Believe me: it has flaws. The camera can hide a multitude of sins.

Impressive, very impressive. Could you answer a question. Did you fill the seam where the pylons and re scribe the panel line? On my first build of this model I didn't pay enough attention to this area and had problems, I'm working on my 2nd version now and can't make up my mind on what I want to do. Amazing work by the way

Thank you! Yes, I filled and rescribed all of the seams on the secondary hull including the pylon attachments. Years of aircraft modeling have drilled that discipline into me.

Do you happen to have a link to his build blog and or thread on that build?

Yep, the thread starts here. Take your time going through all that; it's well worth it.

That is utterly amazing.  I thought I was looking at stills from the motion picture.  Fantastic.

To build or not to build.... that is the question.   The answer.... build... Duh.
