HELP! Enterprise TOS Shuttle Bay
« on: February 27, 2017, 10:12:40 pm »
I need help!  I cannot get the shuttle bay of the enterprise TOS  to fit properly.  No matter what I do or try I cannot get the rear section  to close with the shuttle bay inserted.  Is there some trick that I am not aware of or some technique that I need to do to get it to fit?  Or even better is there a video out there somewhere that can help me .

Hiya Steven  :)

I'm assuming it's the 1/350 model you're building....
Man I wish there was an answer to give you but that shuttle bay is a problem for every one of us who do that build. There are things that you can do to improve it, but in the end it will not close entirely and you have to do a bit of filling in the gap.
Here is the build log for the ship that I just finished. I did a few things to improve the situation. It also shows what I did to fill and support the gap. So far it has held together well.

Not the answer you were looking for I know, but I hope it helps.  :)
