Revell Star destroyer in Ireland
« on: April 30, 2017, 01:29:55 pm »
Quick message to any Irish modellers, I was in Banba  toymaster just off Henry Street in Dublin today and they had two of these beasts in stock, needless to say after my visit they only had one left on the shelves.... this was the case as of 5pm so chances are it'll be there tomorrow.

Happy building

The Star Destroyer came up in conversation earlier on Boyd's live YT show. Seems the Revell kit may make it to the states sometime in May. Not that I need another kit for the stash, but that will be a hard one to pass up.

Sweet ;D she's a big one, couldn't hide this one from the wife. It'll be interesting to see how she reacts to it being displayed on the mantelpiece!

I usually go:- My name on the front door, bills, insurance, licences,I'm paying for the holiday, etc.etc - so there. - works for about 5mins then I get "that look" of withering and utter contempt.

Yep! But that 5mins of male superiority usually ends up with all the hot water being used so no nice bath/shower before bed and I loose the "Battle of the Duvet".

Hey Navin

Fellow Gaelic modeller here and glad you got your hands on this beasty, I have been harassing Marks Models to try and get one held for me until I can purchase after my wedding in August but absolutely no joy so far, its like a holy grail kit for me (well the Randy Cooper is but this is second best) and I'm gutted I cant just pick it up, will more than likely be ordering the Zvezda from Russia and holding my breath to see if I get customs assaulted

BTW Sci-fi is a bit of a dead loss in marks anyway I find, I don't think they are all that interested in catering to that market which is a pity.

I'll have to check that out, doubt they will keep me a copy till September though ha ha. Yeah their not great in the scifi department, but for paints and tools they are great I find anyhow, Plus some really good Tamiya kits are stacked in there.
