50th Anniversary TOS Enterprise 1/350 One Shot
« on: May 03, 2017, 12:25:22 pm »
I was thinking it would be cool to see everyone's take on a fan favorite ship since it is the 50th Anniversary year of Star Trek:TOS. So here goes!

1. If you have built a 1/350 scale TOS Enterprise (or an E of similar scale, post one shot (your favorite) here on this thread.
2. This is just to see the various interpretations of the ship.
3. Please keep the scale.
4. Tell us a little bit about the build and why you wanted to build "this" one.

I haven't built one of these YET, but I know there are several builders out there who have!

Sound off!

Didn't see this post here is mine.

As for why I built it? Because I had to.

Here's Mine:

Why did I build her?  Because it's the Enterprise!

The build uses both photo etch sets, the Tenacontrols Bussard Collector boards, LEDs from hdamodelworx, and a base by wolfbase + hdamodelworx (plus some installation and LEDs by me).  It took about 4 months to build, and looks fantastic.

Here's a video of my buildup:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmTiT2uAt_4

These are fantastic builds. Perhaps if this thread stays active long enough I will be able to post mine someday.
Thanks for starting this thread Steve. In the midst of all the new kits we work on and talk about, it's nice to go back and remember, and show off, some of the great works that are no longer on page one of the WIP section or the Gallery section.
