I'm an older modeler, left the hobby for many years but got the "bug" again.  I have been doing mostly aircraft, but just bought the 1/350th NX-01 Enterprise and want to do more scifi kits.

Thank you one and all!  I was just looking at a tutorial on wiring for LED's.  Looks challenging which is even better.  That's one of the reasons I'm excited about doing the 1/350 NX-01.  I think it'll look spectacular with the proper lighting.

 You're right..the lighting makes ALL the difference. If someone does a beautiful job with the seams, painting etc. they have done a terrific model. However, if they can flip a switch and light it all up, that just sends it to a whole new level!
  Once you get a few basic rules for running the circuits and learn how to solder properly it's really not that complicated. There are lots of 'how to's' online, and there's lots of free advice here as well!  ;)
