Well, it's not perfect, but I managed to repair much of the damage.

Here she is, Counsellor Troi.

What was the damage you had to repair?

What was the damage you had to repair?

When I brushed on some Vallejo satin finish varnish on the skin tones, it crazed the delicate multilayered paint job.  The worst was on her shoulders and back.  Her back fortunately would be covered with her hair, but the shoulders were really bad.  I tried to sand it down enough and touch up the shoulders so it would look OK, but you can still tell if you look really close :(

I had put so much time into her face I almost rage-quit the build.

Star, This is an awesome build! So good, in fact, that if you hadn't pointed out the flaws, I would not have seen them!

The paint job is very precise and clean and looks like you spent quite a bit of time masking each part off! Well done!

The finishing of the suit, hair and skin are, IMHO, flawless! I know I wouldn't have been able to do half as well!

Is she your only build of ST:TNG figures? Your first? Or one of many?

Either way, Excellent representation of the lady!

LLAP!

Steve

Thank you Steve :)

This is the only TNG figure that I had:  I picked it up at a liquidation sale when my favorite comic book store went bankrupt.
I was pretty impressed with the quality of the GEOmetric kits and would like to build another one (they aren't that rare, or expensive), but I already have enough kits in the queue.

I know I'm not brave enough to attempt figures with faces, so I am glad to see others are not only brave but successful.

Good looking model there Star!
