Can't say I've ever been accused of posting too many pics before  ;D Usually its not enough!

As for beauty shots, well, my biggest pet peeve is seeing really nice work being shown by really shitty photos (ie: blurry, out of focus and washed out). I know not everyone is a photographer (and neither am I for that matter) but a little bit of effort and pride goes a long way. I've seen really awesome pics taken with a phone before and you'd think they were taken with an SLR.

As for back round clutter, I've picked up the habit of using single coloured card as a back round for the exact reason you stated: no one wants to see a half built kit in the back round or the multitude of tools, or the porn pictures on the PC screen behind the subject. Sometimes though, I just can't be arsed and will take a pic of the subject as is on the work bench.

Anyways, as to this build, I have almost finished detailing the surface and am getting closer to the paint stage. Unfortunately, I somehow managed to make the main Bridge LED stop working. The little one at the back works, just not the main one and they are both wired together. Go figure. This happens a lot to me - just ask Warren (Madmonk) ;D I will never be a sparky! Still, all the other ones work and that's the main thing

Great work so far Si, as for the LED if you wired them in parallel then the big one has either come loose or burnt out, being in parallel means that the smaller one is unaffected.

Maybe you did learn something my young sparky padawan!  8)

mate, I hardly get a kit lit without a drama or 4  ::)   ;D
All good though - it's not like the lights stay on so not too worried. The lig one blew I think when I got some paint on it. don't ask because I don't know  ;D

Last update now before the finish. Some paint has gone on and I am pretty happy with how its coming out so far. The details have blended in nicely and don't look too out of scale. I am altering the paint scheme just slightly by having a light grey underneath as opposed to a blue hue as the top will already be blue and I think blue and grey go together nicely. There will also be a bit of pale yellow trim in there too just to add some colour.

The first coupe of shots were taken so I can remember where I stuck the panel tape on later otherwise I'll forget.

That's it for now. The next post will be the final shots I think.I made a start on the much bigger Andromeda the other night, so I'll start a new thread for that later
As always, thanks for looking
Si

Looking fabulous, Si!

Sorry about the lights, Mate. Hope the others stay on!

Keep at it!

Shit happens Steve (about the lights) and I tend to get over it pretty quickly. Is what it is my friend  ;D

So maybe one more WIP pic as I had the camera out taking some snaps of the Andromeda, I thought I would quickly snap a couple off of the Yunagi  ;D

Anyways, that's enough for now, but thanks for looking

well, it's pretty much all done now. Just need to take some day light pictures. The lights are playing funny buggers and now the main bridge light works but the engine light has stopped. Sometimes, I wonder why I even bother...
Anywho, here's a couple of lit shots before the day shots:

I have made a decent start on the Andromeda so pics soon

Si, that is a beautiful build! Very well done!

No criticism intended but, are you gonna hide the wires in the stand? Are you gonna make a wall plug in or what exactly?

Just curious.

Again, excellent build!

That looks great. I have a few of these ships shitting around. I need to work on those eventually.

thanks guys

Steve, I was wondering who'd be the first to comment on the stand  ;D It won't be staying like that. It's just there to hold it in place for the moment until I can get a display built which will incorporate 3-4 ships on it. More on this later  ;)

Very beautiful. Too bad about the engine not lighting anymore. Maybe it's a loose connection?

thanks guys. I'm not to fussed about the engine - it happens to me quite often  ;D

I got back from my mini-holiday this afternoon so managed to take some daylight pics. Ignore the stand - it's only there to support it until I can get a fleet base set up.

And yes, I did just notice that the tail is a bit wonky. I will fix that shortly!  ;D
Well, that's it but as always, thanks for looking
Si
