[Sanding Sticks] DIY Solution
« on: September 23, 2017, 09:21:28 pm »
Hi, Everyone!

I watched some YouTube videos on DIY sanding sticks, so I thought I would make some myself.  Basically...

Craft Sticks + Double-Sided Tape + Sandpaper = Sanding Sticks

I already had some Scotch double-sided "scrapbooking" tape and sheets of sandpaper, so the two packs of craft sticks cost me less than $4.00 U.S.D. total.

Try it out!

:)

How well does the double-sided tape hold up to wet sanding? I've made sticks like this before but I used hot melt glue to attach the sandpaper. It holds fast when wet.

I haven't tried wet sanding with these sticks yet.

Scotch does make different types of double-sided tape including their more popular "permanent" rolls.  That may work for wet sanding.
