[AMT / Round 2 Klingon Vor'cha] 1:1400 2017 / 2018 Re-release
« on: October 16, 2017, 12:09:58 pm »
Hi, Everyone!

Round 2 has put a new placeholder on their website for their latest Star Trek re-pop...the 1:1400 Klingon Vor'cha (kit number AMT1027)!  This will be the first time that this particular kit has ever been re-popped since its original AMT / ERTL release year back in 1992.

No details have been provided at this time except for sample box art.  MSRP will be $29.99 U.S.D..  Round 2 is hoping for a late-2017 or early-2018 release.

Stay tuned for more information as it comes in...

:)

This looks really good! Wasn't even alive yet in '92. So I am glad this is happening =)

Just to note that some places are already taking pre-orders.

I have already done so through CultTVman ...

Any notes of if they did anything different with this kit or is it just a re-pop of the old kit with new box artwork?

Already have one of the old kits I got off of eBay, but it might be worth a look to see if they upgraded anything.

Yeah I'd only get one if they did some upgrades.  I already have a fleet of Vor'chas lol  One of the old kits, and 5 or 6 Playmates ships with lights and sounds that are the exact same size and scale as the AMT kit.

I'm interested; I actually missed the train the very first time the kit was out.

Hi, Everyone!

Here are some newly-released details for the upcoming AMT / Round 2 1:1400 Klingon Vor'cha re-pop (kit number AMT1027):

  • New metal support rod is now used with the original Klingon base
  • The original clear parts tool was lost, so a new set was created for this release

Aside from those two things, everything else should be the same as the original 1992 AMT / ERTL release.

Check out the attached pictures!

This is one of AMT / ERTL's best Star Trek models as it is highly detailed and accurate.  If you haven't had the opportunity to work on one, come December 2017 / January 2018 will be your chance.  It's highly recommended.
