I don't understand how they get away with such high shipping rates to Canada.
The exchange rate is lousy also. It's not fair. I feel for you.

Do you  have a local hobby shop you can go to? I don't know where you are in Canada but if you live near the Hamilton Ontario area there are two hobby shops there. They both sell the Microscale products. I've gotten them plenty of times. The one I go to is called .... surprise surprise ...Hamilton Hobby.  ;D
As far as shipping goes, yes, be careful and shop around. There are people out there who won't gouge you for shipping but for some reason a lot of times you'd swear we were on the moon instead of right next door.  ::)

If you're looking for LED's etc just get them from China or Hong Kong. That's where they all come from anyway. I've literally seen cases where the exact same set of LED's that cost $15 shipping from the US is either free or costs something like $2.99 from China. Try and figure that one out!

I live  in London    i do have most of my supplies  but every once in a while   i need something different .
All model shops in London have gone up in smoke  there are RC  SHOPS and Trains .
Now  if these two stores have websites   please be so kind as to post the addresses for me.

Hey RS ... sorry it took a while for me to get back to you

The web site for Hamilton Hobby is http://hamiltonhobbyspecialties.com/
The other store is Modellers Choice http://www.modellerschoice.com/

To be honest neither one of the web sites are much good. They don't really show what's available in the stores.
Hamilton Hobby is by far the better store...a lot more stock and more of what we need for the hobby. The owner, Peter is really good. He's friendly and really helpful. He's not always there but if you can catch him he's great. I don't know if he ships or not, but if you know what you need it doesn't hurt to ask.
I know it's quite the drive for you to Hamilton but if you got a big list it may be worth it.
Hope this helps.
