Rocky, she is looking superb!

Nice job! I like the Romulan flare on it!

I have maybe three of these D7 in this scale (Hobby Lobby had a sale on them a while back) and I was wondering if maybe I could get just the decal sheet for the Romulan Cruiser?

Have any ideas on it?

Again, nice build! Thanks for sharing!

Let us know when you get the big bird on! It's gonna be suhweet!

Thanks Steve, this entire build has been a learning experience.

I do believe you might be able to contact Round 2 and buy the decal sheet from them for a price :) I got the kit off amazon for like 25 bucks delivered, so that's another route you might take.

If a big bird on your D-7 is what you want then I highly recommend the Bird of Payne decals from JT graphics, real nice decals but they don't include windows.

Looking Good, Rocky!!

Very well done!

Are you gonna post from beauty shots in the Modeler's Gallery?

Tankton, I may take you up on that!

I will when I am done all that's left is the big bird decal a little bit of detail painting and sorting out my final clear coat.

Those last pics were of a d-7 I did several years ago, not the one I am working on now :)

Well, I have the AMT 650, the 1/537 Klingon K'tinga, and a couple of 1/1000 Klingon D-7s. I was thinking of doing a 1/1000 as a Romulan BoP. The other, larger, ones were going to be standard builds; which for me means I will find a way to complicate it!  ;D ;D

Carry on, my wayward Son! (Where did THAT come from?! Man, I'm old.)

No its actually supposed to be a representation of the romulan D-7 from the remastered TOS episode "The Enterprise Incedent" but I do remember that game.

Ok...tomorrow is B-Day (bird day) I hope all goes well, next time we talk I will either be very angry or extremely happy :)

I added a couple more coats of Future on the lower hull to smooth it out as much as I could so I don't have any issues sliding this big decal into place.

Ok so I missed B-Day by about a week real life got in the way, but now the bird is on and it went down way easier then I thought.

There is a bit of silvering between the feathers but I think I can deal with that, I am going to hit it one more time with micro sol and call it good and seal it with future Tuesday morning when I get home from work.

thanks for following, I do believe the end is in sight :)

Same here, real life keeps getting in the way.

Awesome work though! I personally find Round 2's decals to be a bit thick, but lay down fairly well.
Poke and soak with Micro Sol if you have to ...

Can't wait to see the final finish!

Nice job with the Bird, Rocky!

(Wait! That sounded better in my head. But you know what I mean!  ;D  )

Don't forget to post some beauty shots in the Modeler's Gallery!

Keep going! The End is in sight!
