Thanks guys, this build has been quite the journey for me.

All the decals are on and sealed with ample amounts of future, I am reasonably happy with the results. :)

I do believe the end is very near, I still want to put a gray wash on the flat aluminum parts, do a bit more detail painting and then its on to the final flat/satin coat.

Heres where I sit now, thanks for looking in :)

I am calling this one done. ;D

I gave the silver panels a gray wash to tone them down and decided on a flat coat instead of a satin I think it looks pretty good.

The only thing I may change in the future is the stand, other than that I am pleased. She wont win any contests but will look good on my shelf.

I will post better pics in the finished section very soon.

Thanks to all who looked in and followed my long and somewhat boring build :)

Thanks jwood, I think it looks pretty good I am not unhappy with the end result although I would have done a lot of things different in hindsight.

Shes on a shelf with all her other little dust collectors so I am happy, now on to the next one :)

That is the best part of this hobby, the next one, done better, and bigger!  Can't wait to see the next build!

Cheers,

Whispers to self "Okay, just breathe."

Hey Rocky, is that your comic collection, too?! Are those the actual comics as drawn the master - Jack Kirby?!

if so, you are as nerdy/geeky as I am! *sniff* I like that! You are my people!

Your model looks great! (Love the term "dust collector".)

What's next on the bench?

  thanks Steve,

alas no those are prints not the actual comics, but I do have a few desirable silver age books in my almost too large collection, I have been collecting since 1981 and have over 3500 books last time I counted around a year or so ago... but of course Ive added a lot since then.

I love the artwork, Jack Kirby of course being my favorite but also love Steve Ditko, John Buscemi and of course Todd McFarlane.

besides the comics and modeling I also collect vintage action figures/toys, I love board games, and I still play D&D twice a month with a small group.

My wife says I am like a very responsible 15 year old :)

Next on the bench is.......the 1/1000 bird of prey
