Nice Job, Spencer!

Your work is so clean - my work and bench resemble a pig rutting around in mud compared to yours!

Master!  ;D

Thanks Steve!

The disruptors are done. Some cleanup and I'll be ready to tackle the next thing, just not sure what that is yet  ;D
Gonna give my fingers a rest. A shoutout to trekriffic (Steve). His work on the disruptors were an inspiration for these.

Cheers,
Spencer

I'll echo what starsiegeplayer said:  That's high quality work.  Looking back on your hand drawing for the tubing sizes, did you find that it was accurate or were there changes that you made during the build?  I've got this kit in my stash, and would like to reference your disruptor scratch build and tubing sizes when I begin.  Thanks.

I changed the secondary disruptors a bit. I'm working on a better drawing for my own reference as well and can put that up when it's done.

As promised, here is the final diagram for the disruptors, in case anyone else wants to tackle them.

Cheers

Thanks for updating your disrupter build!  It'll be very helpful once I begin my KBOP.  Only hope I can do her justice like you have:)

Thanks. Here's hoping I can deliver  on the rest of the build ... :-\

Thinking about other greebles and color, going through some photos and screencaps for a rough reference.

Here's what the kit suggests for color (roughly)
A little "meh" compared to the studio model, even without considering weathering. Needs some more
accents here and there, and more metallics. Will have to work on it.

Also,

I noticed a big pop mark on the front of the ship, and what looks to be
more Romulan than Klingon writing on the starboard side?

I believe the original idea was that it was supposed to be a Romulan BOP
and Kruge was a Romulan, then he became a Klingon who stole the BOP,
and then the ship became Klingon ...
Never noticed the writing before though.

The writing is klingon script.
The letters are JMKIIY.

Attached is what I came up with checking all my fonts.

Okay, my bad. I guess I got thrown for a loop from some Romulan D7 decals I have.

This is the best I can get for it:

Romulan is similar  There are two different fonts for it .
The klingon script is actually English letters. There are a couple
more fonts that are klingon letters.

Here i am the expert in alien languages. LOL

Cool build by the way. I stealing ideas for mine.

I put some more accents on the model, some more Light Ghost Grey and some Vallejo Emerald.
Other metallics will be "as I go" ...

Here is the current list of colors and close enough Vallejo equivalents ...
Again, not going for screen accurate and the colors here are just representative.

Main Hull:

Accents:
Light Ghost Gray - Vallejo 73.615
Green Zinc Chromate - Vallejo 71.094
Rust - Vallejo 71.080
Insignia Red - Vallejo 70.947
Gun Metal - Vallejo 71.072
Flat White - Vallejo 71.001
Flat Black - Vallejo 71.057
Steel - Vallejo 71.065
Sac Bomber Green - Vallejo 71.329
Clear Red - Tamiya X-27
Flat White - Vallejo 71.095

Added:

Stunning work to date!

Personally, I would ignore the model's paint guide and go with the one (I'm guessing you?) posted at SSM.  I see no need for the tren zinc chromate plates.  The sac bomber plates on the belly should be your light ghost gray; and the neck, that perdy emerald green :)

Also, I wouldn't extend the light gray quite so far forward on the starboard side of the bridge "bulb." This image captures that area's look nicely:
