This is outstanding! The detail in this scale is just awesome. Very nice work. Please do a few shots of her against a black backdrop if you can. Very well done.

Will do bud.

Just waiting on word for the mirror I am putting on the base to show off the underside and then she'll be mounted for display permanently.

And she's done.

I got our girl finished up 100%, done and dusted today and she's all ready to go to the auction in November.

The mirror was attached to the base and left overnight so that the glue could cure properly.

And this morning I removed the protective cover from the mirror. I have to say that getting the mirror sorted was a nervous time as it was custom made and I was praying that it would'nt get scratched, damaged in any shape or form.

The next item on the agenda was to tie the model into the wiring loom and tuck all the wire down into the mounting rod which was fun as the wire did'nt want to play ball but we got there.

A short wait for the epoxy to cure and finally "The Empress" was attached to her display base and this build which started way back in January was slowly drawing to a close.

I hope you all like how the model turned out.

This is one of those moments where I really wish I was living near some one who's built something as awesome as this so I can try take some pictures of their sensational creation that better matches it than what a phone will produce

It looks amazing Iain - I hope it fetches the money it deserves. Keep us posted as to how it goes
I also like that illuminated button too - nice addition!

Thanks Mad!

That illuminated button was a total swine to get wired up.

Great work, Iain!  You've outdone yourself with this build.  You could've stopped at the Republic Star Destroyer a few years ago and I would've called you a Master Modeler then, but this is over the top;)

Thanks guys.

I have Revell/Zvezda Star Destroyer on the bench getting made up to b sold and once that is done I will take a wee break (I have never said that before! ;D) and then I plan on tackling that big 38" Parasaurolophus I have.

Just waiting on Gerry/HDA to get his new store up and running so I can get his 1/350 refit masks then my attempt on the big beastie of the modelling world.

Thanks mate.

The base and mirror were custom made but even then the two together came in at just over 30GBP which I thought was a real bargain. Both sellers I have used before and got to know them through Ebay and when I get home from work/karate tonight I can pm the details if you want.

Both are UK based.
