1/1000 TOS-E Nacelle attachment
« on: February 01, 2018, 07:56:52 am »
Hello. I was hoping someone could help me with the Original Series' 1/1000 scale Enterprise and how the nacelles are supposed to roll and snap in place onto the pylons.

I have had the worst luck with this method. I was hoping someone had a video demonstrating how it's done. I can't tell you how many I've ruined because of those joints.

Thanks in advance!

I think they just slide on, but it's been several years since I built mine at this point. I don't recall any sort of rolling that was required.

I found a YouTube video where a fella filed the hole on the nacelle and made it a little wider. Doing it ever so slightly until it went into place. The only thing is you will have to glue it so it will stay solid. Here is a link to a video that explains how to correct the problem. I hope this helps.
