Mig31 Firefox

Done and dusted with the Anigrand 1/48 Mig31 Firefox from the 1982 film starring Clint Eastwood.
This is the first all resin kit I have built in about 30yrs and with the Super Star Destroyer build looming on the horizon this was a bit of much needed practice working with resin and highlighted the fact that I need to get an appropriate respirator before the next auction build.
At 16" in length this builds up to make a big kit and it was a delight to put together. I really have to get another to add to "The Stash" and would advise any fans of the film to get one as it is a crackin' kit to display.
It does'nt come with a pilot figure but I managed to get a resin Mig31 pilot at 1/48 scale on Ebay and it fitted the cockpit perfectly. I did toy with lighting up the engines and the flare/chaff dispensers as seen in the film but the detail on those parts was just too good to ruin with drilling holes so I shelved that idea. The one light I did install was in the cockpit to emulate the homing device Clint activates to find Mother 1.
And as always a short video to close off this post,

Lookin' sweet Iain..... I love the panel lines on this kit and how they stick out.... Did you accent them with a pencil or anything along the way?

Thanks guys!
Wolf - the panel lines are as you see them - very well defined on the kit.
