New display boxes?
« on: April 08, 2018, 06:32:54 pm »
Hey guys! I local wood working group I know made some sample's of display boxes. If there is enough interest they might produce them! Let me know what you think. These are overkill of course, made of Oak and Maple.

krieg.17, those are, indeed, overkill. Beautiful! But overkill as the display stand, IMHO, MIGHT be painted black and all that beautiful wood grain MAY disappear. I dunno.

I'm not against the display, just know I would want my display base to kinda be in the background of the build, rather than show up my work!  ;D ;D

Has the Woodworkers Guild thought about making military shadowboxes? THAT would be an excellent market to tap! Just a thought.

Thanks for sharing!

Steve

Wish they were in the UK.

Needing something like that for the big SSD model when she's finished.

I'm told them they should be out of mdf or something cheap. This is what they had lying around.  :)

The weight would be the deciding factor and no doubt customs would have a field day.

Even pine is a little on the spendy side! Press board is a good material and paints well.
