paint then assemble?
« on: August 23, 2018, 12:30:56 pm »
I see Boyd paining all the parts and then assembling them touching up the paint later.

How do you do this? I tried wiping the seam with acetone but that takes forever. (might not have been the "good" acetone)

Put tape over the mating surfaces prior to painting to mask them off.
Then remove tape and glue together.

Liquid masking agent can also mask off surfaces before painting as well.  Useful for irregular surfaces where tape doesnt' fit.

My B-Wing Build log had a paint-first approach.
