Bandai Star Wars Blockade runner (those smallest models)
« on: October 04, 2018, 11:50:02 am »
So this is apparently a new kit from Bandai and I see a price on a Japanese website for as low as 830 yen incl. a small discount apparently, which doesn't sound bad to me. Seems to be a pre-order.

Heh, I like this. A small model for sure, but looks great imo.

Hoping to see a much larger model kit of this later on. :) It sort of looks like this kit will be just a little longer than their other small/tiny Star Destroyer kit.

No sign of this kit being listed on eBay so far from what I can tell.

Edit: I made the mistake of placing a pre-order, seeing a 0 yen count with "flat rate" next to it, hoping it would be free shipping, but I think now that "flat rate" means a fixed amount, so I hope they are gentle with me. At least I get two kit boxes with this, despite having goofed up this purchase.

I posted about this model a few months ago on The Model Shop Google+ page: https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/109660073537038906328/109660073537038906328/posts/VcZcKs2wfHt

Should be a nice small and detailed kit as all Bandai models tend to be.

If this kit had been in 1:72, I think I calculated that to being equal to then being 2m long. :) Ship is much larger than I thought initially.
I am basing this on some ship length found on the internet somewhere, set at around 150 meters.

So 150 / 72 = ca 2+ meters, in 1:72 scale

Hm, Imo seems like 1:350 scale might be ideal scale, with a size of about 43 cm. :)

Hm, so this kit from Bandai is perhaps 1:1200 scale I am thinking. 150 / 1200 = 12.5 cm
