Dodgy decals...I
« on: November 04, 2018, 08:01:21 am »
So I'm in the process of putting down the decals on my D build.

As it's the clear edition, you get the azteks plys the 'normal' decals.

I'm finding this a nightmare as the decals are extremely fragile - thankfully I have two sets but even then, I've managed to completely ruin a couple as they break apart very easily, even with very very careful handling! The ones I've done so far are underneath the main hull so not too worried about them.

So any hints or tips as to how to deal with these fragile decals would be really appreciated!

Thanks all

Give them a couple of light coats of Testors Decal Bonder before cutting them out.

Unfortunately not readily available in the UK...

Have tried a coat of Tamiya  matt clear... Seems to do the trick. Although have some concerns about edges curling up...
