1/72 Space 1999 Eagle 1

1/72 MPC Eagle with brass photoetch from Paragraphics, supplemental decals from Tankton, and using paint masks from Aztec Dummy.
The passenger module is held in firmly with magnets and can be removed easily.

Compare it with the last time I built this model http://scifimodelaction.com/sfmaforum/index.php?topic=4523

Really nice work. What parts are photo etch?

This is one of the most realistic fictional spacecraft ever done. I could always envision it as something NASA would build.

Thanks, Dave!

The photetch parts are as follows
  • Command Module Window Frames
  • The four metal circles on the command module
  • Parts for the landing gear.  Between the photoetch and stock brass tubing, the only original part of the landing gear is the flat pad.
  • Ends of the passenger module.
  • RCS thruster blast deflectors (the four black crosses on the shoulder pods)
  • The five holed "engine baffles" inside the main engine bells.

Looks great! I have one of these on the bench. I'll have to search out that decal set!
