My 1/350 Enterprise Refit build.
« on: December 13, 2018, 08:34:57 am »
Hi guys,

Started this two years ago but ended up remodeling my house.  Anyway,  here is the beginning and what I have to date.   The first thing I did was start modifying the bridge.

I then added the paragraphics to back of the B/C deck.

I proceeded to remove the phasers to lower them down.  This could have gone better.

Two years later I primed the saucer.  Here she is with the modified bridge.

I'm currently adding the wiring to the saucer.  At least I was until my soldering stating fried..  grrrrrr.  Another one is on the way.

I added the paragrahics to the secondary hull.

And finally I added part of the lights to the upper saucer.

Hold on.

Q: Did you add any light blocking paint/material? (Doing that might be very important)

Yeah,  I did all that on the saucer.  Not on anything else yet.   Sorry.. forgot to mention that.  Thank you for pointing that out though.  I would have figured that out too late probably.

I am always fond of these 1/350 builds.  Soooo much detail and so many techniques.  Love watching these come together.

Looking good.

I'm currently finishing my build of this I started 9 years ago and put aside due to other things taking over.

I too raised the bridge a little to allow the lighting under it to illuminate the registry.

I have made a bit more progress.

I added more LED's to the saucer.

Got a slow start on the Arboretum.

Did a bit on the officers Lounge.  I had it done and went to see what it looked like in the model.  I've decided to cut some of that front wall down so you can see the other engine in on the starboard side screen.  I'm still not done modifying that part.

I got the base coat on the bridge.

The last thing I did was glue the secondary hull together.

Coming on a treat. I wish that strip LEDs were more commonplace when I started mine. The insides of mine is just a ton of 5mm LEDs and wires like a nest of Vipers.

The LED stuff has come a long way for sure.  Things just keep getting better and better as far as models go.

I made a bit more progress.   I'm painting the parts before I install the lights and such.

Shawn, this is looking very crisp and clean! Nice paint job!

I take it you are following Boyd's videos on making this beast?! If and when I get the C done, I will start on my 350 TOS E.

In the mean time, I am living vicariously through your build! ;)

Keep up the great work!
