plastic prep sray
« on: July 26, 2012, 08:27:04 pm »
I tried using Bulldog Adhesion Promoter on a plastic piece for testing and after drying it left the surface with a slight "gritty" texture. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I want to be sure before moving on. I saw nothing on the can or directions that indicated this is the way it should be. Thanks.

Hi Stargazer,
Bulldog adhesion promoter does leave a slightly textured surface when it dries. You can smooth it out with a light sand with 600 grit paper. Plas-Stick made by Dupont is a similar product which leaves a smooth texture when dry. You can usually find it your local auto paint supply stores.
If It's a model kit, I like it already.
